Statement of Principles

We, the undersigned, endorse the founding principles of the City of Chicago's establishment of CAN TV and we urge the City to reaffirm those principles in the future:

  • Maximize community involvement
  • Serve a broadly diverse public
  • Operate on a nondiscriminatory basis
  • Receive operating funds from Chicago’s cable operators
  • Remain free from government and cable company control of its channels.
